Alcas Cutlery knives for sale at our store! Established in 1949 as a collaboration between ALCOA Aluminum and Case Cutlery, Alcas was a pioneer in the cutlery industry. Initially formed as a partnership between ALCOA, the world’s leading producer of alumina and aluminum, and W.R. Case& Sons Cutlery Company, Alcas eventually became a privately held corporation in 1982 after ALCOA acquired CASE in 1972.

Utilizing the expertise of Case Cutlery in Bradford, Pa., ALCOA established Alcas Cutlery, combining the ‘AL’ from ALCOA and ‘CAS’ from Case. The Alcas Cutlery factory in Olean, N.Y. started production in 1949, shipping its inaugural set of cutlery to New Kensington, Pa. that same year.
