Ed K Sheffield Wharncliffe Jack in Buffalo Horn

Our price:

Only 1 left in stock

This antique knife is an anomaly! The tang is stamped Ed Kay Sheffield on the front and Made in Enland on the rear. The only Ed Kay who made folding knives I could find was born approx 1779 and passed around 1847. I do not know if that is the same person. It is 3 5/8″ long closed. Wharncliffe Jack. It has a very hard pull and snaps like a gator. No blade wobble. The handles are Buffalo Horn. They do have a little typical shrinkage for there age at the bolsters and one stabilized hairline one mark side barehead pin. The bolsters are brass with a large flute and nickel pin. The blade and spring are carbon steel and has steel liners and nickel pins. This knife is in very good condition for its age. The blade shows has been sharpened and has typical use marks, light pitting and scratches. This knife appears all original and was cleaned and polished. Great Eastern Cutlery
